Rosneft output to advance this year

According to preliminary data, Rosneft will produce 16.2m tons of oil and 6.4bn cubic meters of gas in 2002, which is 108.3 percent and 105.1 percent respectively of the 2001 level, the press service of the company reported citing materials prepared for yesterday's meeting of the Board of Directors.

Rosneft enterprises will drill 546,000 meters. The construction of 208 wells is to be finished and 225 new wells are to be put into operation this year.

Shares in Rosneft belong to the Russian Property Ministry.
