YUKOS not to bid for Slavneft

YUKOS will not participate in the privatization of a 75-percent block of shares in Slavneft, YUKOS head Mikhail Khodorkovsky told journalists today. According to him, YUKOS is not interested in Slavneft, because, according to YUKOS estimations, the price of this stake may amount to $3bn and taking into account the purchase of minority stakes it may increase to $5bn. He also declared that the question concerning the possibility of crediting Sibneft for its participation in privatizing Slavneft, would be submitted for consideration by the Board of Directors of YUKOS on December 5, 2002.
