Lenenergo director general Andrei Likhachev is representing St. Petersburg business at the second European Economic Summit, entitled Europe Transformed: The Quest for a Common Vision, which opened yesterday in Salzburg, Austria. According to the energy company's press service, the summit, which is being attended by top businessmen as well as Europe's political and public leaders, will feature discussions on a range of European economic, social and business programmes.
According to Likhachev, 'the purpose of world economic forums is to periodically gather together representatives from business circles and ruling elites, including members of the opposition, so that they can give their predictions on the future directions and paths along which the world's economy and politics will develop'.
