Minister of Nationalities Policy comments on possible withdrawal of troops from Chechnya

Vladimir Zorin, Minister of Nationalities Policy, believes that theproposal of Anatoly Kvashnin, head of the General Headquarters of theRussian Armed Forces, on a possible withdrawal of the federal forces fromChechnya is timely. Earlier, Kvashnin proposed to withdraw the federaltroops from those districts of Chechnya where local administrationsguaranteed security in their districts.
