Duma official comments on Krasnoyarsk region governor elections

Oleg Morozov, head of the Regions of Russia deputy group of the RussianState Duma, believes Alexander Uss and Alexander Khloponin stand equalchances to win in the elections for governor of the Krasnoyarsk region. Hesaid so in an interview with journalists. The State Duma deputy was quotedas saying that now "it is hard to give a forecast of which of them will winin the second round. However, Alexander Khloponin may gather the votes ofthe drop-outs, so he stands a better chance to win". According to Morozov, the first round of the elections for the Krasnoyarskregion governor is "the very case when the sociological polls were carriedout in a proper way and their results are now seen in practice". Accordingto the Duma official, S.Glazyev's third place in the first round was a realsensation. As it was reported earlier, as a result of the first-round vote,the first place was won by Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of theKrasnoyarsk region Alexander Uss who was closely followed by AlexanderKhloponin, governor of the Taimyr Peninsula. .
