Russian grain exports can be increased

The volume of grain exports in the 2002-2003 agricultural season can beincreased to 6m tons, Alexey Gordeyev, Russian Minister of Agriculture,told journalists today. He was quoted as saying that it was due to floodsthat had damaged crops in some European countries. The Minister noted thatthe production of grain in Canada dropped by 9m tons in 2002.
