Bin Laden, Al-Qaeda, and the Taliban. These are the words that you heard more and more often after the September 11 attacks on America. Even a little piece of information will be successful, if it has the prime suspect’s name mentioned in it. Money is rolling in, but no one thinks about the consequences of this boom. People might go crazy and eventually panic after they read and hear so much about yet another possible terrorist attack.
Bin Laden has had another resurrection. As it turns out, he posted a message on the site Islamonline. The message was addressed to the people of Afghanistan. Bin Laden urged everyone to wage a holy war against the Americans. The handwritten text was received from an Afghani from Pakistan. This was a way to show that the events in Afghanistan are just getting started. Very “good” news for Americans, isn’t it?
Alright, let’s leave malicious joy alone and take a look at what is going on in the country. Four acts of terrorism took place in Kabul over the last couple of weeks. The latest one happened on Sunday. Two people were wounded as a result of a bomb blast in the center of the capital. The Afghan police are investigating the incident with the assistance of international security forces.
Bombs also blew up not far from the Ministry for Communication, near the Bahtar movie theatre, and also near the US embassy building in Afghanistan.
There is one common thing about all of this: to give a bad presentation of the new government. They want to prove that this government is totally unable to establish law and order in Kabul, not to mention the whole country.
On the other hand, this is a good reason to say something out loud in the country where everyone remembers the time of the Taliban. That is why Bin Laden released such statements, claiming that Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and the Islamic Party of Afghanistan were going to join their forces. In addition, the leader of the Islamic Party of Afghanistan is Gulbuddin Hekmatyar: Hamid Karzai’s major opponent.
The point of this is clear: to have Karzai and Hekmatyar fight. This tactic is not new: divide et impera. Let’s see, if Bin Laden is successful and if if Karzai and Hekmatyar fall for his bait.
