Enron accounts frozen

A UNITED States federal judge has frozen brokerage accounts belonging to former Enron Corp chief financial officer.

Perpetrator of this case was Peter Fastow, Andrew Fastow's brother, who tried to transfer incredible sum of money from one account to another.

The criminal complaint filed in Kopper's case included a list of more than $US23 million ($42.63 million) in bank and brokerage accounts held by Fastow and his wife, Lea, his family foundation, his brother Peter and several former Enron employees.

If prosecutors can prove that Fastow and his wife were laundering money when they were involved in the investments their accounts will meet seizure worth more than $12mln.
