Yesterday, in St. Petersburg, the world-wide Russian Farmer Fair opened.
It will continue from August 26 through September 1. Presented there will be food processing equipment, products, beverages, refrigerators, animal feeds, fertilisers, seeds, garden appliances, and agricultural and timber-processing machinery.
The fair is organised by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Association of Farmers and Agricultural Cooperative Farms, the administration of St. Petersburg, the Lenexpo exhibition company, and the World Exhibition Russian Farmer company.
The participants of the last year's Russian Farmer fair included 989 companies and organisations from 48 regions of Russia, including the Arkhangelsk Region, Bashkortostan, the Volgograd, Vologda, and Voronezh Regions, Dagestan, Karachayevo-Cherkesia, and the Krasnodar Territory. Other participants included companies from 35 countries all over the world, such as Austria, Belgium, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, India, Italy, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, the US, Ukraine, Finland, France, Czechia, Sweden, and Estonia.
