Microsoft's Russian Sales Increase by 80% in 2002

Microsoft's sales in Russia and the CIS rose by 80% in the 2002 financial year (July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002) to USD 90 million, Alexei Badaev, the head of the company's department for business development in the CIS and Mongolia, announced yesterday at a press conference. According to Badaev, 49% of Microsoft's Russian sales are in the North-West region, 17% in the Volga region, 8% in the Urals, 7% in Siberia, 5% in the South, 2% in the Far East and 13% in the Central region.
