The Russian Tax Ministry was to collect 129bn rubles ($4.07bn) in taxes for the federal budget, including single social taxes, in September 2002. According to preliminary information, some 125.7bn rubles ($3.97bn) or 97.5 percent of the budget task was collected. Some 101bn rubles ($3.19bn) in tax and non-tax revenues were collected in September, compared to 105.4bn rubles ($3.32bn) in the corresponding period of 2002, the information policy department of the Tax Ministry reported. About 4.4bn rubles ($138.8m) or 4.2 percent was not collected.
About 24.8bn rubles ($782m) in single social taxes were collected for the federal budget in September, which was 4.7 percent higher than the planned volume. Insurance payments to the Pension Fund amounted to 25.1bn rubles ($792m). Moreover, some 1.8bn rubles ($57m) in debts on earlier payments and fines were collected. So the Pension Fund received 51.7bn rubles ($1.63bn), including payments on single social taxes to the federal budget in September.
The task on collecting single social taxes for the Russian social insurance fund was fulfilled by 104.4 percent. Revenues amounted to 7.1bn rubles ($224m). The task on collecting single social taxes to the federal fund of obligatory medical insurance was executed by 116.6 percent totaling 410m rubles ($13m) in September 2002.
