Upper house approves bill on bankruptcy

The Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament, approved a bill on bankruptcy today. The bill was rejected by President Vladimir Putin on July 25, 2002. The State Duma, the lower house, passed the amended bill on September 27.

The bill was supported by 111 senators with 3 abstentions and no-one voting against it.
