The Albanian armed forces are regrouping their units on the borer with Macedonia. According to reports from Tirana, three Albanian divisions with heavy armaments and tanks are now moving towards the Macedonian border. The regrouping reportedly arises from the recent aggravation of the situation in Macedonia, where Albanian extremists have resumed attacks on security forces. Meanwhile, Albanian Prime Minister Meta Ilir has reaffirmed that Tirana is for Macedonia's territorial integrity and that it denounces extremism as a means of settling the problem of ethnic Albanians in the republic. The Albanian premier called for continuation of the dialogue between Macedonian political forces.
