Two More Bodies Retrieved From Kursk Submarine

Last night investigation groups retrieved the bodies of two sailors, who died during the tragedy in August 2000 in the Barents Sea, from the compartments of the Kursk submarine, reported head of the press service of the Russian Northern Fleet Vladimir Navrotsky. A total of 47 bodies have been retrieved since the operation in the floating dock near Murmansk began. 31 bodies have been already identified, Navrotsky said. According to him, the commanders of the Northern Fleet have contacted all the relatives of the dead to specify the burial places and delivery of the remains. As of today 16 bodies of dead sailors have already been sent to the places where their relatives live by Northern Fleet planes.
