The Russian Defense Ministry released official information yesterday which shows the extent of Russian military losses in Chechnya between October 1999 and December 2002. As the Echo of Moscow radio station reports, in little over three years 4572 people were killed and 15.5 thousand were injured. The ministry emphasised that these figures are official and are not in any way connected with the figures that were released earlier in reference to the North Caucasus Military District.
