Video: Gunman Detained After Opening Fire in Donetsk Supermarket

An armed man opened random fire inside a supermarket in the Petrovsky District of Donetsk on the evening of December 25. The shooter was quickly neutralized and detained by law enforcement officers, preventing further casualties.

Incident in Petrovsky District

According to information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Donetsk People's Republic, the incident took place inside a local supermarket. The suspect began shooting indiscriminately, causing panic among customers and staff.

Police officers responding to the scene acted decisively and managed to disarm and detain the attacker. Authorities confirmed that the armed individual is currently in custody and no longer poses a threat.

The head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, praised the actions of the officers involved in the operation. He decided to formally recognize their conduct during the arrest.

Pushilin announced that the officers would be awarded the state medal For Bravery in recognition of their actions during the incident.
