On May 30th, a group of children tried to leave the town of Slavyansk. The Ukrainian military attacked the buses that departed from the town to take the children from the area of combat actions to the Crimea to rest.
Fortunately, no one was wounded in the attack. Other difficulties occurred as well. The buses with children were stopped at a checkpoint of the National Guard of Ukraine and had to stay there for more than five hours.
On May 30, Slavyansk was under attack as well. The Ukrainian military attack the town from artillery weapons and mortars. One of the shells hit the building of a children's hospital. There were doctors and patients staying inside the building, but none of them was hurt.
Over the past few days, artillery shells hit several schools, children's hospitals and a kindergarten.
Meanwhile, the head of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic, Valery Bolotov, said Friday that representatives of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine put forward an initiative to conduct talks in Kiev. According to Bolotov, the republic would be ready to conduct negotiations with the Kiev authorities only if the Ukrainian troops are withdrawn from the territory of the self-proclaimed republic.
Near the airport of Donetsk, sniper of the Ukrainian National Guard opened automatic fire on doctors, trying to prevent them from removing the bodies of those who had been killed in recent combat actions. Six doctors and militiamen were killed during the recent two days, the Prime Minister of the Donetsk People's Republic, Alexander Borodai said.
The dead bodies still remain on the ground near the airport. The National Guard of Ukraine opens fire on everyone who tries to approach the bodies. According to Borodai, as many as one hundred of local residents and militiamen were killed on May 26th, when the battles for the airport of Donetsk started.
