Eli Lilly and Co is going to cut 500 employees
Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY), a global pharmaceutical company, is going to cut about 500 jobs in order to rationalize manufacturing operations in Indianapolis.
The company will carry out the voluntary exit program mainly in the sphere of manufacturing, but will also include a small portion in areas of research and development.
The cuts will involve workers who manufacture ingredients for drugs Humalog, Humulin and Forteo.
