Russia's Korean dancers to appear at World Football Championship's closing ceremony

The Korean national group of dancers Ariran from Ussuriisk, Russia's Far East, will make an appearance at the closing ceremony of the World Football Cup, reported Ussuriisk's Korean Cultural Center on Wednesday.

According to a source in the Korean Center, the group took part in the opening ceremony as well.

Last year, Ariran -- which was formed 7 years ago -- won an international contest of national dancers. In February of 2002, it came first in an Utrennyaya Zvezda /Morning Star/ TV contest; in April, it was chosen the first runner-up in a dancing contest, which gathered dancers from 90 countries. Ariran also took part in two dancing contests in Pyongyang.
