Dutch doctors kill patients at their homes

A Dutch clinic engaged in performing euthanasia, has formed mobile teams to carry out the murder of patients at their homes. The service has already started working.

The clinic provides services only to the patients, whose doctors refused them in taking away their lives. However, many experts have already set out protests against this innovation.

"From Thursday, the Levenseindekliniek (Life-end clinic) will have mobile teams where people who think they comply with the criteria for euthanasia can register," Right-to-die NL (NVVE) spokeswoman Walburg de Jong said.

It has not been specified on which grounds doctors can either accept or deny patients in their requests for death.

The practice of euthanasia in the Netherlands was legalized in 2002. Since then, each year more than three thousand people use this right, Gazeta.ru said. Any citizen who suffers from an incurable disease, has the right to carry out the procedure. Patients can use this right if they are able to think rationally and responsibly of their decisions. The final decision is made by a special committee of doctors, lawyers and experts on ethics, said Rosbalt. The decision must be made by at least two doctors. Should any doubt appear, cases are sent to the prosecutor.
