One hundred days, in which Dubrovsky changed Chelyabinsk region

April 25 marked one hundred days since the appointment of Boris Dubrovsky for the position of Acting Governor of the Chelyabinsk region. The term is too small for considerable and visible changes, but it is enough to change mechanisms and methods of work, build relationships, achieve most desired results, make plans and programs for large-scale transformations for medium and long perspective.

"It's no secret that I was a critic of the policies of the previous governor, - Georgy Fedorov, President of the Center for Social and Political Studies "Aspect," a member of the Public Chamber of Russia said in an interview with Pravda.Ru. - What Boris Dubrovsky does is very sensible, and I really like it. Indeed, one should start optimizing their own expenses. It seems to me that the path chosen by the current head of the region is more correct and it would lead us to a good result."

Dubrovsky made adjustments in the organization of the executive power, optimized the management scheme and eliminated duplicate functions, structures and positions. In just two months, budget savings exceeded half a billion rubles. The power structure has become more transparent and accessible to the public. One also had to optimize public procurement, which also provided for substantial budget savings and freed up human resources.

"I always support the bright determination that our governors have, because it goes to the benefit of Russia, to the benefit of the Russian people. This is a vivid example of how one can work effectively, building up a system not only the way they do now, bureaucratically, but also socially. All that Boris Dubrovsky does, proves it, - Roman Khudyakov, first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee for Regional Policy and Problems of the North and Far East said. - There are many of such leaders, who built up work in the regions competently. They should serve as a model for other governors to show how to work with the population and build effective work."

Of course, it is impossible to radically change the situation in three months. But it is important that there are new vectors for development, the regional economic policy became more predictable. There is every reason to hope that industry, agriculture and construction complex of the Chelyabinsk region will be developing gradually.
