Russia is one of the largest exhibitors at the 53rd International Book Fair which opened in Frankfurt-am-Main on Tuesday. The Russian exposition includes almost 1,000 titles, the best publications of 2000 and 2001, a spokesman for the Russian Ministry of the Press has told RIA Novosti. Russian exhibitors include 99 publishing houses. In all, 6,671 publishing houses from 105 countries are participating in the fair. They have brought over 400,000 books. At least, 300,000 people are expected to visit the fair. It has been decided that in 2003 Russia will be the main exhibitor country at the world's largest book fair, the spokesman for the Russian ministry said.
