Akhmad Kadyrov blames Aslan Maskhadov for attempt on his life

Chechen administration head Akhmad Kadyrov blamed Aslan Maskhadov for yesterday's attempt on his life. He said this to reporters at the military base in Khankala, where he took part in a conference of the operations staff to control the counter-terrorist operation in the republic. Maskhadov ordered his militants to liquidate Kadyrov "by any means", stressed Kadyrov. In his words, Maskhadov, who is hiding in the mountains, believes that in case of Kadyrov's physical elimination, he will sit down with the Russian president. "However, this will never happen," said the head of the Chechen administration. Monday evening, when Kadyrov, accompanied by bodyguards, was leaving Gudermes, a powerful land mine went off on the side of the road, RIA Novosti reports. Kadyrov and the bodyguards did not suffer, while the cars got minor indents. In Kadyrov's words, yesterday's terrorist act is the third in a row on this section of the road. The terrorist acts staged against him have not been committed for free - terrorists have been promised from $200,000 to $1 million for his life.
