Tropical Storm Kiko weakened further as it moved out to sea and away from Mexico's Pacific coast on Monday.
Kiko moved well offshore and was expected to weaken to a tropical depression, forecasters at the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. The storm's center was forecast to pass well south of the Baja peninsula.
Above normal tides and battering waves along the coast were expected to subside overnight and early Monday.
On Monday morning the storm packed maximum sustained winds of near 75 kph (45 mph).
Kiko was heading west-northwest at 4 kph (2 mph) and was centered about 410 kilometers (255 miles) south-southeast of Cabo San Lucas.
