Disabled Peruvian schoolchildren meet with Britain's Princess Anne

Britain's Princess Anne was honored by students from a school for deaf and blind children in the Peruvian capital on Tuesday in the end of her four-day visit the Andean country.

A blind boy dressed in a brown, knee-length tunic common in Peru's jungle presented the princess with a wrapped gift.

The San Francisco de Asis school in Lima is partially funded Sense International, a British organization that works with the deaf and blind.

During her visit to the Andean country, the princess also toured a potato gene bank partly funded by the British government and traveled to the jungle city of Iquitos to meet with representatives of a British charity that works with abandoned children there.

British Embassy spokeswoman Claudia Vucetich said Princess Anne left Lima for a four-day trip to Brazil on Tuesday.
