Ukulele autographed by billionaire investor Buffett sells for $11,211

A custom ukulele autographed by billionaire investor Warren Buffett sold for $11,211 (Ђ8,790) on eBay, the online auction site, Friday.

Buffett, who plays the ukulele in his free time, will donate all the proceeds from the auction to Children's Hospital in Omaha.

The soprano ukulele is one of two designed to resemble a Dairy Cream ice cream cone. The second ukulele that was not auctioned off will become part of Buffett's collection.

International Dairy Queen is one of the more than 60 companies owned by Buffett's investment vehicle, Berkshire Hathaway of Omaha.

The bidding started May 15 at $1,000 (Ђ784).

In December last year, a golf bag autographed by Buffett and his billionaire pal, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, sold for $3,300 (Ђ2,590) at the end of an Internet charity auction.

And, after an online charity auction in June, a bidder paid $351,100 (Ђ275,260) to have lunch with Buffett, reports AP.
