Nepal's government restored mobile phone service Thursday, seven days after it was severed to stop the organization of an anti-government rally.
No official announcement was made before cell phones suddenly began working Thursday.
Mobile phones stopped working on Friday, hours before an alliance of seven major political parties opposing King Gyanendra were to hold a protest rally in Katmandu, Nepal's capital, reports the AP.
