A person's &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/world/20/91/368/13596_Bush.html ' target=_blank>mental health plays a direct role in maintaining a satisfying marriage, a recent research says.
In a sample of 774 married couples from seven &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/world/2000/12/29/1766.html ' target=_blank>US states, researchers assessed each partners' level of depression and anxiety along with their marital satisfaction to find out if one partners' pathology was associated with his or her view of the relationship and/or the partner's view of the relationship.
According to the research reported on in the October issue of the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology published by the American Psychological Association (APA), each spouse's level of anxiety and depression predicted not only their own marital satisfaction but their spouse's as well, informs Hindustan Times.
