Armenia, Lebanon hope to deepen ties

Armenia and Lebanon are intent on developing interparliamentary relations between their countries. As related to Rosbalt by the press service of Armenia's National Assembly, this was the subject of discussion when Artur Bagdasarian, speaker of the Armenian parliament, met with Zhebrail Butros Zhaar, the Lebanese ambassador. The sides agreed at the meeting that scientific-cultural and economic relations between the countries should be widened.

It was agreed that a treaty on interparliamentary cooperation between Armenia and Lebanon would be signed in 2004.
