Russian companies could participate in the projects for extracting energy resources in Iraq, president of British Petroleum John Brown said.
"Russia has excellent companies that could be on the list of investors for these projects' implementation," he said.
Brown pointed out that if Iraq wanted to attract investors to these projects' implementation, companies of countries other than the UK and the US should be regarded, so that these projects' implementation were in line with the interests of the Iraqi nation.
The British Petroleum head stressed that before the situation in Iraq changed, a legitimate government enjoying the nation's trust must be elected. According to him, this is one of the pre-requisites for any commercial projects to be launched.
