July 1 is to see Moscow Economy Day congress organized in Frankfurt, Germany, for the first time.
The event will be attended by an official delegation of the Moscow city government, led by Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.
The proceedings of the congress will be organized into two sections, "Moscow Investment Projects Presentation" and "Moscow as the Financial Center of the Russian Federation." Participants in the investment section will include senior figures from Moscow academic centers, industrial and trading enterprises, construction industry companies and hotel and tourism businesses. The financial section will bring together exchange and banking executives from Moscow and Germany.
The Congress is intended to highlight the prospects of German investments into Moscow's economy to Germany's business. It will be an opportunity to present concrete investment projects and build up regular contacts between Frankfurt and Moscow business elites and City Halls.
It is intended that Moscow Economy Day will become a biennial event in the future.
