The Kirghiz enterprise Ainur and the Kazakh National Centre of Radio Electronics and Communications have joined the international financial group - the Defence Systems.
As has been reported by the press service of the group, the decision on admitting new participants was taken at the session of the Council of Directors on Tuesday in Minsk.
Thus, the group has considerably increased and entered an inter-state level. This fact must contribute to the development of close cooperation between the enterprises of the military-industrial complex in the CIS countries.
The Kirghiz enterprise Ainur, which has entered the group, produces mainly special means of communication and other devices to be used for the purposes of defence.
The Kazakh National Centre of Radio Electronics and Communications is engaged in repairing arms and military equipment, produces and sells defence and special military goods and also works out comprehensive projects in the sphere of radio electronics and telecommunication.
One of the main joint projects of the Defence Systems today is the modernisation of the Pechora 2M air defence system, which has a great export potential.
According to the press service, at the present time the enterprises of Armenia and Ukraine also show a concrete interest in entering the group.
The main aim of the Defence Systems is to use the scientific, technological and investment potentials of the participants in the group for producing high-tech and competitive on the world markets air defence means and other types of double purpose and civil products.
The Defence Systems financial and industrial group was founded in 2000 in accordance with the inter-governmental agreement between Russia and Belarus.
