Valery Loshchinin, the special representative of the President for the settling of the conflict between Georgia and Abkhazia, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, is on a 3-day-long visit to Abkhazia to be concluded today. According to the press service of Russia's Foreign Ministry, Mr. Loshchinin's programme includes meeting with Abkhazian leaders and the commanding officers of the CIS Collective Peacemaking Force and visits to the Kodore Ravine and the Gudauta former Russioan military station.
This trip is part of the Russian Federation's efforts as a mediator between Tbilisi and Sukhumi.
