President George W. Bush had telephone conferences today with Presidents Geidar Aliev of Azerbaijan and Robert Kocharyan of Armenia, reports Ari Fleischer, White House press spokesman. President Bush expressed enthusiasm over Azeri and Armenian support for the anti-terror crusade. As the conferees discussed developments round the Karabakh conflict, he highlighted the importance of Armenian-Azeri settlement progress and called for more efforts to promote Transcaucasian partnership.
