Georgian President's Brussels Visit Put Off

A visit to Brussels by the Georgian president will certainly take place, because it is very important as far as future relations between Georgia and the European Union, press secretary Kakha Imnadze of the Georgian president said in an interview with the national television. According to him, Shevardnadze's visit to Brussels, scheduled for November 5-8, was not cancelled but only delayed owing to the current situation in Georgia. Imnadze said, next week Georgia's parliament and executive-power bodies will hold consultations on a new cabinet of ministers and the absence of the president would be undesirable.
