Russia-greece: Summit Brings Six Intergovernmental Agreements

Six intergovernmental agreements were signed in the presence of Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Konstandinos Stephanopoulos of Greece to crown their summitry. There are four agreements between the cabinets--on air transport, the establishment and performance of cultural centres, the merchant marine, and partnership in the fuel-and-energy complex. The two governments are also launching a programme of cultural and research partnership for 2002 into 2004. The Russian Ministry of the Interior and the Greek, of Public Order signed an agreement on anti-criminal efforts.
