During the Visit of the RF President to Ukraine, the Sides Will Sign a Package of Bilateral Agreements

During the working visit of the Russian president to Ukraine, the sides are scheduled to sign 9 different bilateral documents.

According to deputy head of the Kremlin administration Sergei Prikhodko, the major documents will be the inter-governmental agreements about establishing branches of Russian universities in Ukraine and vice-versa, and also about youth policy.

Another document to be signed is the protocol to the inter-governmental agreement on mutual recognition of diplomas and scientific degrees.

Three documents in the sphere of health services are planned to be signed, as well. Those are an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of health services, a similar agreement in the sphere of prevention and treatment of AIDS, and an agreement on mutual recognition of sanitary-and-epidemiological certificates.

The sides are preparing a document on goods deliveries and border cooperation, and also two agreements on mass media.

Speaking about the coming opening of the Year of Russia in Ukraine, Prikhodko pointed out that such action "is a good way of stimulating a more open and pragmatic dialogue between ministries, departments and regional authorities of the two countries".

Overall, the Kremlin authorities state that political contacts with Ukraine "are stable, regular and devoid of political implications".

As to the decrease in economic and trade cooperation, the experts from Moscow stated that it was temporary and the situation could be solved by unification of customs and other regulations".
