Sources in the Secretariat of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna reported that, according to high-ranking official of the North Korean embassy in Austria Son Mun San, in charge of relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency, North Korea was prepared to start its nuclear reactor at the experimental nuclear power station in Yongbyon "not in few months but in few weeks." Up to now the IAEA leadership has given no comments regarding that statement of the North Korean diplomat.
Information was received prior to that statement that PDRK intended to cancel the missile test moratorium undertook by it on a voluntary basis. Pyongyang stressed that North Korea would make that step in case the USA undertook no efficient measures to improve relations with Pyongyang.
According to experts, PDRK possesses missiles capable to deliver strikes against all parts of the territory of South Korea and the major part of the Japanese territory. According to American intelligence data, North Korean scientists were developing ballistic missiles capable to deliver nuclear warheads weighting several hundred kilograms to Alaska and Hawaii.
