Zelensky introduces visa regime for Russia

Ukraine to introduce visa regime for Russian citizens from July 1

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the introduction of a visa regime with Russia from July 1, Andriy Yermak, head of Volodymyr Zelensky's office, said.

"Today, the president began the process of introducing a visa regime with Russia. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the corresponding decision, according to which the visa regime for Russians will work from July 1, 2022," Yermak's Telegram channel said.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had invited the government to consider this issue "as part of countering unprecedented threats to national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country." Almost immediately after Zelensky's statement, Yermak announced that the Cabinet had made a decision.
