Hundreds of people have gathered in Union Square in New York City to show their solidarity with Baltimore protesters.
A variety of activist groups were urged to gather in Union Square in NYC to show the people of Baltimore their solidarity with them and their resistance for the sake of justice, Pravda.Ru reports.
Demonstrations were also held in Baltimore, but were peaceful compared to the violent rioting that hit the city after the death of Freddie Gray.

Eyewitnesses of the demonstration in Union Square in New York post messages on social networks reporting scuffle between demonstrators and police officers. Some say that several people were loaded into police vans, Pravda.Ru says.
