Russians Disapprove of US Actions in Iraq

Russian people do not approve of the US' actions in Iraq. A poll carried out by the Public Opinion foundation three days after military action began found that 91% of Russians disapprove of the US' actions, and only 5% support the United States.

The war has also dealt a blow to Russian-American relations. A year ago, Russian's mostly viewed relations between the two countries as stable, but today the situation has changed cardinally. 41% of those polled noted a cooling in relations between Russia and the US, which is four times as many as last year. A majority of respondents (59%) said that the US was an unfriendly country towards Russia.

1,500 people took part in the poll.
