20th anniversary of "Victory over German Fascist Troops outside Stalingrad" panorama

On Monday, the State Stalingrad Battle Panorama Museum in Volgograd, Volga area, hosts a celebration on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the opening of a panorama called "Victory over German Fascist Troops outside Stalingrad." The Stalingrad Battle Panorama Museum has 8 halls, 4 diaramas, and about 3,000 displays, many of them unique. The canvas with a scene from the decisive battle of January 26th, 1943, in which German Field-Marschal Paulus is being taken prisoner by Soviet troops, has no analogues. The panorama, which reaches 16 meters high and 130 meters in circumference, is mounted at a height of a three-story building.
