Inscriptions in Latin letters will appear in Moscow underground for foreign tourists

Russian inscriptions in the Moscow underground will soon be doubled in Latin letters. This instruction was issued by the Moscow government.

According to the document, the names of underground stations, as well as general and route maps in the carriages and information signs in the vestibules will also be dubbed in Latin letters.

As of December 1 of the current year traditional Russian signs in the Moscow underground will gradually be replaced by new ones in two languages.

The document notes that this innovation is introduced for the purpose of creating comfortable conditions for foreign tourists in the Moscow underground which is the most mass-scale passenger transport, whose services millions of Moscow guests use every year.
