Russian and British policemen will discuss issues of combating international crime. Today a delegation of British policemen is coming to St. Petersburg, said St. Petersburg's Interior Ministry University on Wednesday.

The visit of the London police is devoted to a 10-year anniversary of co-operation between the University (earlier St. Petersburg police school) and the British centre preparing London's policemen headed by Peter Loughborough. The program of the visit contains anniversary celebration parties, participation in round table discussions, devoted to prevention of terrorist acts and cyber crimes.

"Russia and Britain have been mainly cooperating in terms of practical and theoretical preparation, said teachers from St. Petersburg University. The Russian side takes interest in interview technique classes, criminalistics, investigation of murders and prevention of crime. Besides, Russian students get acquainted with the London policemen's practical work and in May 2002 they managed to participate in pursuit and detention of a criminal, said the University.
