On April 21-22 the international Frank fund of the United States and the international socio-economic studies Gorbachev Fund will hold in Washington a joint money-raising action for combating leukemia. Representatives of business circles, statesmen, men of art and philanthropists have been invited to the dinner. On April 22 Mikhail Gorbachev will make a cruise along the Potomac river aboard the Sequoia yacht. In the 1933-1977 years it was the official yacht of American presidents. It is designed for 50 passengers and will be site for another meeting with Gorbachev, Popov said. He recalled that for Mikhail Gorbachev the leukemia theme is close, because a year ago this disease ended the life of his wife, who had also done a lot for combating leukemia. Armen Popov could not say how many children will be helped on the money raised during the action. "They will be Russian children living mostly far from Moscow", assured the chief of the Frank office in Russia.
