Russian Yevgeny Kafelnikov Fifth In World Tennis Ranking

Despite the fact that the best Russian tennis player, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, lost to France's Sebastien Grosjean at the Tennis Master Series Finals in Paris on Sunday, November 4th, he has entered the ranks of the top five tennis players in the world. Yevgeny Kafelnikov, who was ranked sixth last week in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world rankings, has moved to the fifth place. In the world rankings, the top three positions remain unchanged with the 1st place Gustavo Kuerten, Brazil, 771 points; 2nd Lleyton Hewitt, Australia, 723; and 3rd Andre Agassi, United States, 684. The second leading Russian tennis player, Marat Safin, was ranked 11th. Mikhail Yuzhny and Andrei Stolyarov rank 56th and 71st spots, respectively.
