Us Rangers Ordered To Find And Arrest Karajic

American rangers commenced an operation for searching and, possibly, detaining the ex-President of Republika Srpska Radovan Karajic. The Hague tribunal accuses Karajic of committing war crimes. RIA Novosti correspondent reports this information as appearing in the Nezavisne Novine newspaper printed in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The paper refers to sources close to the NATO-led Stabilization Force and representatives of international organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The paper narrates that some 300 American rangers have been sent into three areas in the country, including the triangular patch of land between Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. They had been given orders to locate the whereabouts of Karajic. The fourth group, on high alert, is faced with the task of arresting the ex-President of Republika Srpska. The Nezavisne Novine claims that prior to the operation Americans had signed an agreement with Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, in line with which Karajic will not be accepted on the republic's territory.
