Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with representatives of the Association of Entrepreneurial Organisations of Russia (OPORA) on Wednesday. The delegates to the OPORA forum, which opened on Tuesday, adopted a resolution and plan to discuss its main provisions at their meeting with the president. Representatives of small businesses, says the resolution, come out for the further improvement of the taxation system. In particular, they propose that a special taxation regime should be introduced for small businesses, maximum level of tax exemptions established, the regression threshold on social tax as well as VAT reduced, and sales and turnover taxes cancelled. The OPORA representatives also believe that, in connection with the adoption of a law which stipulates the checks to be conducted by state bodies, it is necessary to revise a number of laws and by-laws which contradict the new law.
