German silver exhibited in the Moscow Kremlin

"German silver masterpieces in Kremlin" is the name of an exhibition which opened in Moscow on Tuesday. Located in one of the ancient churches of the Moscow Kremlin, the exhibition presents one of the world's best collections of German silver from the Kremlin collection. More than 130 pieces that date back to the Middle Ages show vividly the achievements of jeweller's art in medieval Germany.

The collection has travelled many countries of the world but has not yet been exhibited in Russia in corpore. Some of the items never left the museum storehouses at all. Now all of them have been exhibited thanks to the effort of Kremlin restorers.
