First Navy Salon to be held in Russia next July

Russian Navy commanders headed by Chief of Navy General Staff Admiral Viktor Kravchenko discussed on November 20 the preparations for the International Navy Salon, according to Igor Dygalo, aide to the Navy Commander.

The first International Navy Salon is due to be held in St Petersburg on July 25-29 next year, featuring Russian Navy weapons, combat ships and aircraft. The event is timed to coincide with the city's 300th anniversary. Delegations of 50 countries are expected to participate in it.

According to Dygalo, the International Navy Salon will be the first event of this scale in Russia featuring the most up-to-date equipment of the Russian Navy - combat ships of various classes (destroyers, patrol ships, minesweepers, assault ships, missile launches, along with submarines, aircraft, ship weapons.
